Bomb scare hits President Patil's Ajmer visit

Jaipur: False alarm about bombs on a moving passenger train and a bridge in Ajmer district set the administration into a tizzy as president Pratibha Patil was visiting the Dargah Sharif just 1.5 km from location of the bridge when police received the tip off.
Patil is on a three-day visit to Rajasthan.
Police and district administration had the train stopped at Kharwa railway station. Railway and police officials swooped on the scene scanning the entire train for the bomb.
Passengers were evacuated from all 16 coaches, but nothing could be recovered.
A similar search was carried out at the Martin Bridge where the complainant Chandraprakash had informed police about presence of live bombs. "We detained the youth; he was found to be mentally ill," SP GRP Ajmer Veerbhan Ajwani said.
