Nokia 101 is a dual SIM device- the company’s fifth such in the past few months- and is the most affordable to date.
The Nokia 101 is a colour-display phone which features an FM radio, an integrated MP3 player, and provides support for up to 16 GB microSD memory cards, said the release.
It added, ‘The Nokia 100 is perfect for people looking for durability and simplicity as well as affordability when making calls and sending text messages.’
Nokia 100 has a new grid-based menu system with easy-to-read icons.
Both handsets offer Nokia Life Tools (selected markets) and Nokia Money (in India), providing instant access to locally-relevant information on healthcare, education, agriculture and entertainment, the Nokia release said.
The Nokia 101 will be available in a few weeks at a price of Rs 1,699, while the Nokia 100 will be available from October onwards for about Rs 1,399. "People are looking for a phone that offers simplicity, functional features, durability and great value for money," said V. Ramnath, director, sales Nokia India. "When paired with powerful and locally relevant services such as Nokia life tools and Nokia money, the Nokia 101 and Nokia 100 offer a unique experience that is simply unmatched in India at these price points," he added.
