New Delhi: Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd today launched in Pune the Mahindra XUV500 at a starting price of Rs 10.8 lakh.
The XUV500 is powered by a 2.2 litre diesel engine which delivers 140bhp with 330Nm torque, comes with 6-speed transmission and delivers an ARAI-certified mileage of 15.1 kms per litre, according to the company.
Other features of the car are cruise control, GPS navigation system, voice-controlled infotainment system that includes a 6-inch LCD touchscreen with DVD player, CD/MP3, FM, Bluesense technology, full i-pod connectivity and 6 speakers, and ABS with EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution).
The XUV500 price range starts at Rs 10.8 lakh for the W6 model, Rs 11.95 lakh for the W8 2WD model and Rs 12.88 lakh for the W8 All Wheel Drive (AWD) model (ex-showroom Delhi).

The vehicle is available in seven colours- Satin White, Tuscan Red, Opulent Purple, Amazon Green, Moondust Silver, Volcano Black and Dolphin Grey.
It will be available at Mahindra dealerships in Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Bangalore and Chennai from October 1st 2011.
