Actors stand up for mate, will support Nikita Thukral

Bangalore: A day after being slapped with a three-year ban by the Kannada Film Producers' Association, actor Nikita Thukral received a shot in the arm when the Karnataka Cine Actors' Association pledged its support to the heroine.
Speaking from Sakleshpur, secretary of the actors' body Doddanna said that it was the association's duty to support Nikita.
"How can we not support one of our association members if he or she asks us for support? We will ensure that we will stand by her side and fight for her, if and when she decides to file an official complaint with us. I'll also look into the matter properly once I'm back in Bangalore," said Doddanna.
Nikita has been accused of causing marital discord between actor Darshan and his wife Vijayalakshmi with allegations of intimacy between the Challenging Star and the Mumbai-based siren. The allegation is yet to be ascertained. The decision on Sunday to ban Nikita for three years was looked as unfair as there was no action against Darshan who is popular within the film fraternity.
Meanwhile, Nikita is reported to be suffering from low blood pressure due to stress. The actor claimed that she received many calls from colleagues in the industry who expressed their support to her. "I spoke to producer Sandesh Nagaraj, who condemned this act. He also told me that the artistes' association president Ambareesh has expressed his support towards me in this case. I hope things work out fine," said the actor.
Nikitha had recently announced her first home production to be directed by Omprakash Rao. The film was to have Duniya Vijay and Aditya in the lead opposite her. Both Duniya Vijay and Adita have been supporting actor Darshan openly through the past few days.
